Detail

This circular sets out the arrangements for distributing the Fraud and Error Reduction Incentive Scheme (FERIS) funding to local authorities in 2015/16. It includes:

  • a list of activities approved for start-up funding
  • potential amounts of FERIS and maintenance fund payments

It also explains the process for applying for maintenance funding. This is to help local authorities:

  • continue activities put in place under the start-up fund
  • fund new activities which will help them meet their FERIS thresholds

The thresholds are a percentage reduction in fraud and error that local authorities must make to qualify for help from FERIS.
