Argyll & Bute Council in partnership with Bute Advice Centre, ALIenergy and the Community Food Forum

Summary of Submission

The Argyll and Bute Flexible Food Fund was established in January 2021 as a project to meet the needs of households across our large geographic area struggling with money to buy food and fuel and to reduce the footfall of those presenting at foodbanks for support. Grant payments are used to incentivise customers to take welfare advice and fuel poverty support, links are being developed with NHS Community Health leads to ensure health and wellbeing is at the centre of everything we are achieving. To date we have provided support worth on average £1,440 per family and helped more than 500 households across the region.
