Joanna Ma TECH IRRV

I joined Colliers in 2019, working with Non-Domestic Rates for the private sector. Having little to no knowledge about the subject, I was encouraged to study the IRRV L3 Certificate to help better understand my day-to-day job and learn about the theory and legislation that was behind the things we did.

Distance learning was the only available option for me, but there were plenty of resources online to support with the course, of which I found the live sessions and pre-examination sessions with the tutors particularly helpful as they were interactive and allowed me to ask questions I had as well as have them answered in real time. Tutors were also readily available through email for any queries so I never found myself lost or not knowing where to go for help. 

It was challenging to fit the studies around my full time job but the knowledge I have gained throughout the course has made an incredible difference to the way I approach my work and perform my job. Even after completing the course, I still find a lot of the resources very useful to refer back to for different situations.
