I started studying the IRRV Level 3 certificate course whilst relatively new to business rates and it has helped me to expand my knowledge and understand my day-to-day job further. I studied via distance learning, which meant no matter what time of the day or where I was able to study, whether it be on my lunch break, after work or on the weekend, which was particularly helpful as my studies had to work round my full-time job.

The online resources were extremely helpful, in particular I found the pre-exam videos especially useful as they helped to consolidate all my knowledge whilst also highlighting the areas that were my weakest prior to sitting the exam. These live sessions were interactive, so it was a good opportunity to hear different opinions from other students and to ask questions.

As a result of achieving the level 3 certificate I feel confident in progressing to the next stage of my career. The course has helped me to have a better understanding of legislation and has given me access to information outside of my specialism and helped me to further my own knowledge. I would recommend the course to anyone who wants to expand their knowledge and wants to further understand the world of business rates.
