Our Mission
The IRRV National President, Allan Clark, has nominated the Alzheimer's Society as his chosen charity for the term of his presidency. This is a cause close to Allan's heart, as he has explained below:
"I chose Alzheimer’s Society in honour of my wife (Claire's) stepdad, who has been living with Alzheimer’s for several years. Alzheimer’s doesn’t just take memories, it changes relationships, routines, and everyday moments we once took for granted. It’s heartbreaking to watch someone you love slowly fade in ways you can’t fix. Alzheimer’s Society supports families through the most difficult times and funds research that gives hope for a better future. Supporting this charity feels like a small way we can stand up to a disease that affects so many families like ours."
A number of staff and Council Members are teaming up to raise money in aid of this valuable cause and would love your support.

From 1st March 2026 to 30th September 2026, we will be aiming to collectively walk or run a total of 10,000 miles. That's the rough equivalent of covering Land's End to John O'Groats over 11 times!
You can follow our journey and make donations via the link to our JustGiving page. Fundraising through JustGiving ensures the automatic transfer of donations to the Alzheimer's Society, without any platform deductions (UK only). Please be aware that varied payment processing fees may apply depending upon the method of payment used.
We thank you for any donations given and moral support you can offer as we work on building the miles! Every pound raised can make a life changing difference to those living with dementia.
