Practice standards

The standards we implement are set by the Fraud, Error and Debt Function supported by the Counter Fraud Centre of Expertise in the Cabinet Office. The function is supported by an advisory group of experts from the public, private and third sectors and academia.

The Counter-Fraud Standards and Profession is part of the Civil Service.

Our priorities

We work across government to improve the capability of departments, organisations and their people to improve their counter fraud activity. This in turn has the goal of better protecting taxpayers’ money from fraud and error.

Career opportunities and professional development

Training and learning tools will be developed including the use of Civil Service Learning.
