Summary of Submission

Using funding from the UK Share Prosperity fund, we have developed a programme to support those with multiple barriers to overcome these and move closer to work, as well as providing financial support to those in employment who wish to develop their skills or gain new ones. The South Staffordshire Business Partnership sets out our role in supporting local businesses, who we recognise are key in our communities and we have worked with many to understand how we can provide the skills they require to enhance their work force. Our close relationship with the different Jobcentre Plus offices has allowed us to develop a referral process with the Work Coaches arranging appointments for us to meet their customers who are looking to increase their skills.  We have developed a network of support organisations who can provide the necessary training and development our clients require.
