This is the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities’ prospectus for the £20 million 3-year Supported Housing Improvement Programme. The programme will support local authorities to address poor-quality supported housing and to drive up standards in their area.
This programme builds on the success of £5.4 million year-long supported housing pilots which concluded in September 2021. An independent evaluation of the pilots was published in April 2022.
Whilst the funding call is open to all local authorities, the department is keen to hear from authorities who are experiencing significant impacts arising from poor-quality supported housing provision in their area.
The deadline to submit bids is Friday 2 September 2022.
The government is also publishing a summary of good practice from the pilots, based on the most effective interventions and ways of working.
