Please note, the final Prescribed Requirement Regulations have now been laid. The regulations include figures for the uprated amounts of pensioner allowances, premia and deductions.
As previously mentioned, no changes are being made to the regulations covering the default scheme (SI 2012/2886), as the purpose of those Regulations was to ensure that every billing authority in England had a council tax reduction scheme in place in relation to 2013-14. After 2013-14 the default scheme has no relevance and SI 2012/2886 will be revoked in due course. Decisions on uprating allowances etc for working age council tax payers are a matter for individual billing authorities.
