Statement on Universal Credit and recent welfare changes
Esther McVey, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions made a statement in the House of Commons on Universal Credit and recent welfare changes.
On Thursday 21 June 2018 the Secretary of State updated MPs on changes made to the Universal Credit system since its implementation, she also commented on the recent National Audit Office report, 'Rolling out Universal Credit'.
Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Margaret Greenwood, responded by stating the roll out of Universal Credit should be stopped and that the NAO report concluded that Universal Credit has not delivered value for money.
