This statistical release contains the latest data and commentary on new outcomes obtained as a result of enforcement activities of the Insolvency Service during 2019/20. They include: disqualifications of company directors; companies wound up in the public interest; bankruptcy restrictions and experimental statistics on outcomes of criminal charges.
Errors in the table 1b ‘Length of Director Disqualification Orders and Undertakings’ resulted in release of incorrect figures for Table 1b for all 2019/20 updates of the Insolvency Service Enforcement Statistics. The error occurred when S2 and S8 disqualifications were excluded from the average length of disqualification calculations. This resulted in the average length of disqualification for orders, undertaking and all disqualifications being under reported.
Corrected data has been released for the Data Tables (Update to February 2020) and earlier updates have been removed from the Insolvency Service Enforcement Outcomes: 2019/20 web page . Previous monthly updates will be available on request from statistics@insolvency.gov.uk though all the latest figures are available in the Update to February 2020 edition.
