Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme

The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme was launched on 20 April 2020.

We publish regular management information which covers:

  • the number of unique applicants to the scheme
  • the number of furloughed jobs
  • the value of the claims received up to the end of the previous Sunday

This data is provided on Twitter and published on this page.

Frequency of publication

This data was initially provided daily via Twitter, and was then provided weekly due to a fall in the number of daily claims. The last set of weekly data was published on 19 August 2020 for claims made as of midnight on 16 August 2020.

This data will now be published monthly, with the next release on Tuesday 22 September 2020.

Self-Employment Income Support Scheme

Claims for the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme scheme began on 13 May 2020.

Frequency of publication

Data for the first tranche of the scheme was published weekly every Tuesday.

Data for the second tranche will be published monthly, with the next release on Tuesday 22 September 2020.

The VAT payments deferral scheme was launched on 20 March 2020.

We publish monthly management information in the fourth week of each month, which covers:

  • the number of payments eligible for deferral
  • the number of payments deferred by businesses
  • the amount of VAT deferred

Eat Out to Help Out Scheme

Registrations for the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme began on 13 July 2020.

This table shows the number of individual restaurant premises registered to take part in the scheme, across the UK.
