Subject: Appointment of President of the Valuation Tribunal for England
The Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Jack Straw MP, has appointed Professor Graham John Zellick to be the Salaried Part-time President of the Valuation Tribunal for England, working on a 60% pro rata basis, with effect from 5 January 2009.
This appointment is made in advance of the establishment of the Valuation Tribunal for England that is expected to take place in the Autumn of 2009.
Professor Zellick (60) was called to the Bar (M) in 1992. He was Chairman of the Criminal Cases Review Commission from 2003 to 2008. He was a member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeals Panel and the Competition Appeal Tribunal from 2000 to 2003, a member of the Data Protection Tribunal from 1985 to 1996, and a Justice of the Peace (Inner London) from 1981 to 1985.
