This bulletin focuses on the public sector fraud landscape in central government and the progress we are making to tackle fraud and error loss outside of the tax and welfare system.
The bulletin supports the government’s transparency agenda by stating the degree of prevented, detected and recovered fraud and error losses for 2019-20, highlighting any data trends seen within this year.
We also report the key functional priorities that the Counter Fraud Function have continued to work on through the year in line with the Government Counter Fraud Strategy.
