Message from the VOA (1 May 2020)

 

The VOA has introduced a dedicated inbox for BA enquires baenquiries@voa.gsi.gov.uk. This is purely for BAs to send in their enquiries, rather than reports, and not to be passed onto tax/ratepayers.

 

The VOA was originally trialling the new inbox with a small number of BAs, looking to improve how contact was being handled. However, the pandemic and moving all customer contact to email meant that they decided to roll it out to all BAs at relatively short notice. Any emails sent to the new BA enquiry inbox are acknowledged and it has a tracking system to make sure that all enquiries are answered.

 

The VOA’s Local Authority Engagement Team has also been producing weekly bulletins for BAs over the past 5 weeks, in which they try to give regular updates and share responses to frequently asked questions. The BA bulletins are being produced every Thursday. Anyone working at a BA who would like to be added to their circulation list or receive back copies can do so by contacting them at ratesretention@voa.gsi.gov.uk.  

 

The VOA is asking all other customers to use the contact form to get in touch with them  at https://www.gov.uk/contact-voa.”
