The Government is today (28 August) publishing a consultation paper, setting out its proposals for a reformed Local Authority Business Growth Incentives Scheme (LABGI).
We invite responses to the consultation questions (listed in full at Section 5) by 20 November 2008; and particularly welcome responses sent electronically to: LABGI.Consultation@communities.gsi.gov.uk
The weblink to the consultation paper can be found on the LABGI website at:

The Government has reconsidered its approach to the scheme and the parameters for reform, as a result of the experience of operating LABGI, responses to its earlier Issues Paper (published in October 2007) and recent wider policy developments. The purpose of this consultation is to set out, for comment, the Government’s proposed approach to a new scheme, which will help the Government to refine its thinking before the scheme is introduced.
It is intended that the reformed scheme will start in 2009-10.
Regards,
LABGI Team
