    This Professional Meeting will discuss the Government response to the Consultation ‘Modernising and Improving the Administration of Council Tax’ that was published on 15 April 2026. The Panel which debated the initial Consultation in a Professional Meeting last year (and then at Annual Conference) return to discuss the Government response to the Consultation. They will share their thoughts and highlight the implications for both billing authorities and the council taxpayer.

    Attendees will have an opportunity to ask the Panel questions and share their own views on the Government response.
