InsolvencyDELEGATE FEES INFORMATION / BOOK
28 September, Virtual
This half day event will cover both Personal Insolvency and Corporate Insolvency in an easy to understand and practical way. It will provide a higher-level overview of the key personal insolvency regimes (IVA’s, bankruptcy and DRO’s) and the impact they have on the collection of Council debts.
The second part of the session will do the same but in respect of corporate insolvency (liquidation, CVA and administration).
The main aim of the session will be to make Council colleagues more comfortable when it comes to receiving notification of insolvency events, how to respond and what steps can be taken to improve the Councils position.
Session 1 - Personal Insolvency: the do’s and don’ts – covering the main insolvency scenarios and using practical examples.
Session 2 - Corporate insolvency: the do’s and don’ts – covering the main insolvency scenarios and using practical examples.
Q & A session – an opportunity to ask questions about issues relating to insolvency.
This will delivered by Paul Bowden from Wilkin Chapman. Paul is a partner within the recoveries department in Grimsby. Paul has a wealth of experience in acting for petitioning creditors on personal insolvency matters, in particular those where petitions become defended. He has also advised clients on complex annulment applications and applications to set aside statutory demands. Paul has experience in acting for trustees in bankruptcy in relation to post bankruptcy issues such as applications for possession and sale and applications for examination.
