Delegate List/Attendee List Scam Warning

Beware of Fraudulent Delegate List/Attendee List Sales Scam

It has come to our attention that some members, conference delegates, and exhibitors have been receiving emails from rogue list brokers claiming to have access to an IRRV delegate list for sale.

This scam has unfortunately become a common occurrence with large conferences, events, and tradeshows in recent years. These scammers are trying to phish for information and gain access to financial resources. The ‘brokers/companies’ have no association with IRRV or any of its events.

How did they get your email address? Software programs can crawl websites in search of email addresses that are listed on them (identifiable by the “@” sign).

Please be assured that IRRV does not rent, share, or sell its delegate lists; nor authorize any third party to distribute or sell any such lists related to any IRRV event.

Please do not engage with and/or attempt to acquire/purchase any list from any company claiming to have use of the IRRV conference database, attendees, or contact information as it puts you and possibly, others' contact information at risk. Often times, responding to these emails (even to “unsubscribe”) confirms to them that they have reached a valid email address.
