This half day processional meeting will be of relevance to those responsible for the enforcement of liability order debts in both the Council Tax and National Non-Domestic Rating spheres. It will look at the options available to revenues teams in circumstances where the ratepayer is the owner of an interest in real property. The session will look at the process for securing Council Tax debt under the Council Tax (Administration and Enforcement) Regulations 1992 and NNDR debt under the Non-Domestic Rating (Collection and Enforcement) (Local Lists) (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provision) Regulations 1991. This will be followed by a discussion on the options for securing both NNDR and Council Tax debt other than pursuant to those Regulations, with an analysis of the law as it presently stands and comment upon how it may develop. Lastly, we will consider the process and relevant factors when enforcing a charging order by obtaining an order for sale.

Programme Changes And Cancellation / Rescheduling Of Events
The Institute will make every effort to give delegates as much notice as possible of any programme changes or the cancellation / re-scheduling of an event. However, it does reserve the right to make changes to advertised programmes and to cancel / re-schedule events. In the unlikely event of an event being cancelled / re-scheduled, either a full refund will be made or alternatively, any fee paid will be credited against a future booking. The Institute will not be liable for any travel and / or accommodation costs incurred by the attendee should an event be cancelled / re-scheduled.
VAT And Cancellations
VAT will be applied at the current rate. Cancellations two weeks before course date will be charged at 50%. Cancellations after this date will be charged at 100%. A substitute attendee is allowed at any time at no extra cost.
