An On-line Training Workshop - Half Day (1pm - 4pm)

At the request of local authorities, IRRV is running this workshop to give attendees an introduction to Discretionary Housing Payment and the detail that local authority, housing association and other key staff require to know.
Aim: The workshop is ideally suited to staff who are required to have a better understanding of Discretionary Housing Payment, including decision makers and managers of teams assessing this support. It is also suited to the wider benefits and welfare sector involved in assisting or advising those who have, or need, to claim support from Discretionary Housing Payment.

- What DHP’s can cover
- What DHP’s cannot cover
- The application process
- Change in circumstances & Overpayments
- Questions and closure
The course will be facilitated by John Adams, Senior Revenues & Benefits Officer, East Dunbartonshire Council. John is an experienced benefits practitioner and current IRRV tutor.

Programme Changes And Cancellation / Rescheduling Of Events
The Institute will make every effort to give delegates as much notice as possible of any programme changes or the cancellation / re-scheduling of an event. However, it does reserve the right to make changes to advertised programmes and to cancel / re-schedule events. In the unlikely event of an event being cancelled / re-scheduled, either a full refund will be made or alternatively, any fee paid will be credited against a future booking.
VAT And Cancellations
VAT will be applied at the current rate. Cancellations two weeks before course date will be charged at 50%. Cancellations after this date will be charged at 100%. A substitute attendee is allowed at any time at no extra cost.
