Money Advice Service end of year figures

Good morning,
I am pleased to share our end of year performance figures with you today which show that more and more people are turning to the Money Advice Service to manage their money.
In the last year we received over 16 million contacts from customers. The majority (92%) of customers say they would use the service again, with over 90% saying that they would recommend the Service to other people.
In the last financial year we began to measure the impact of the Service on people’s lives. That research shows us that people are clearly taking action as a result of our advice. Over half a million money management steps were taken by our customers during 2013/14 – steps in our five key areas: managing debt well, saving regularly and for retirement, protecting assets and dependants - as a result of their interaction with the Service.
These figures are a strong signal that the Service can really motivate people not just to think about how they manage their money, but to do something as a result.
