Dear Authorities,
We have recently worked with Birmingham City Council, Cornwall Council and Powys County Council to design a Council Tax communications toolkit.
Why we have created a Council Tax communications toolkit
The toolkit has been developed with the intention of helping our joint customers be fully informed and correctly signposted by delivering the same message. The guidance provides suggested text to use so our customers understand the function of BAs and VOA - explaining who they should contact and when.
For our most common enquiries, there are suggested links to appropriate publications on GOV.UK to guidance which explains what the customer needs to do and what to expect.
Benefits to our customers
Information contained within the toolkit ensures our customers reach the right place at first point of contact and understand what is required to progress their enquiry promptly.
How to use the toolkit
The toolkit provides guidance to accompany bills with text ready to copy, and identifies links to relevant guidance which can be published on BA websites, including blogs, infographics and YouTube videos. We have also provided suggested social media copy and assets for Twitter and LinkedIn.

Rydym wedi bod yn gweithio yn ddiweddar gyda Chyngor Dinas Birmingham, Cyngor Cernyw a Chyngor Sir Powys er mwyn dylunio pecyn cymorth cyfathrebiadau Treth Gyngor.
Pam ein bod wedi creu pecyn cymorth cyfathrebiadau Treth Gyngor?
Mae’r pecyn cymorth hwn wedi cael ei ddatblygu gyda’r bwriad i helpu ein cyd-gwsmeriaid drwy gyflwyno’r un negeseuon a thrwy sicrhau eu bod yn gwbl wybodus, ac yn cael eu cyfeirio i’r mannau cywir. Mae'r canllaw yn cynnig testun awgrymedig i'w ddefnyddio fel bod ein cwsmeriaid yn deall swyddogaeth yr ALlau ac Asiantaeth y Swyddfa Brisio (VOA) – gan esbonio pwy ddylen nhw gysylltu gydag a phryd.
Ar gyfer ein hymholiadau mwyaf cyffredin, awgrymir dolenni i gyhoeddiadau priodol ar GOV.UK a chanllawiau sy'n esbonio beth sydd angen i'r cwsmer ei wneud a beth allant ei ddisgwyl.
Y manteision i’n cwsmeriaid
Mae’r wybodaeth yn y pecyn cymorth yn sicrhau bod ein cwsmeriaid yn cyrraedd y man cywir ar y pwynt cyswllt cyntaf, ac yn deall beth sydd angen ei wneud er mwyn gallu bwrw ymlaen â'u hymholiad yn brydlon.
Sut i ddefnyddio’r pecyn cymorth
Mae'r pecyn cymorth yn darparu canllawiau i gyd-fynd â biliau gyda thestun yn barod i'w gopïo, ac yn nodi dolenni at ganllawiau perthnasol y gellir eu cyhoeddi ar wefannau ALlau, gan gynnwys blogiau, ffeithluniau a fideos YouTube. Rydym hefyd wedi darparu copi ac asedau cyfryngau cymdeithasol awgrymedig ar gyfer Twitter a LinkedIn.
Mae croeso i chi rannu’r wybodaeth o fewn eich Awdurdodau Lleol fel y mynnwch.
