Details

The Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefits technical guidance (DB1) is intended for use by professional and voluntary advisers, and by members of the public who want more information. It explains who is entitled to, how to claim and how DWP works out:

  • Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
  • Constant Attendance Allowance
  • Exceptionally Severe Disablement Allowance
  • Reduced Earnings Allowance
  • Retirement Allowance
  • Unemployability Supplement
  • additional payment for people whose employer has gone out of business

Appendix 1 has a list of diseases covered by the Industrial Injuries Scheme. These are called ‘prescribed diseases’.
