The Institute would be interested in hearing from authorities on how far they have progressed with the administration of the Rates Deferral Scheme. Janet can be contacted on janet.Alexander@irrv.org.uk The information is to be collated and passed on to DCLG and we would be particularly interested to hear, if you have not received the software as yet to re bill, what action if any, you are intending to take? For example will you be undertaking manual calculations or just taking reduced payments to assist ratepayers who are expecting reduced rates liability from September’s instalment date.
We would also be pleased to hear any figures you may have on take-up of the scheme in general.
