The Human Rights Inquiry, launched in April 2008, focused on the extent to which human rights are embedded in the delivery of public services. It also looked at barriers to the enjoyment and delivery of human rights, and identified models of good practice for public authorities.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is a statutory body with responsibility for promoting and protecting equality in relation to age, sexual orientation, religion and belief, and human rights.
The government’s response to the inquiry includes contributions from all the main departments and details of their work, as well as examples of good practice.
