Summary
This report is an in-depth study of economic deprivation in the 39 New Deal for Communities areas. It forms part of the wider national NDC evaluation. The research uses the Economic Deprivation Index (EDI) to track levels of economic deprivation in both NDC areas and comparator areas. The analyses look at both relative and absolute measures of economic deprivation. The report examines how NDC areas are performing compared to other deprived neighbourhoods, and whether they are narrowing the gap with more affluent neighbourhoods.
