The Government has announced in a number of recent announcements including the latest spending round that Local Authorities will see a cut in subsidy and grants and are looking at Local Authorities making efficiency savings. The attached document covers Benefit Administration on Page 65 but also covers details of comparative costs on varioius contacts with customers. Whilst the Government are cutting the number of existing prescriptive indicators to 198 from April 2008 will they still expect local authorities to retain and benchmark comparative costs to highlight potential efficiencies. http://www.rcoe.gov.uk/rce/aio/42212
