Completed inspections

The following inspections have been completed. After the reports have been finalised with the council and published, they will be available on this page.

What this means for inspection?

The Commission is developing a framework for benefits that is risk-based, proportionate and efficient. Inspections will take place only where authorities are, or show a risk of underperforming, and our objectives are to:

  • encourage improvement
  • detect and diagnose problems
  • identify possible solutions
  • provide assurance to local people and the government

If you have any questions about the Audit Commission's approach to benefits inspections please see our frequently asked questions or email benefits@audit-commission.gov.uk.
