The Improvement and Assurance Panel’s fourth report acknowledges the council’s continued progress in making the necessary improvements. The panel highlights that the council remain on the right track, but that this is a critical point and considerable energy and patience will need to be invested in the recovery journey to ensure a sustainable future moving forward.
Ministerial response to the fourth report
The response from the Minister of State for Equalities and Levelling Up Communities to the Improvement and Assurance Panel’s fourth report notes their assessment of the council’s progress in making the necessary improvements. The response also highlights Minister Badenoch’s expectation that the council continues to engage constructively with the Panel to ensure that progress does not stall and that ministers still require a high level of assurance moving forward.
