This document provides the background, feedback and payment figures from the Direct Payment Demonstration Projects running in 6 areas across Great Britain covering the first 14 payments of Housing Benefit directly to tenants.
The projects are testing a number of different aspects of direct payment of Housing Benefit to social sector tenants. The aim is to produce a wide range of practical learning to help ensure the right support for tenants and landlords is in place, to support the full implementation of Universal Credit.
