This report records progress made by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and its agency, the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) against the environment targets contained in the Greening Government Commitments (GGCs) for the five year period 2010 to 2015.
The report also includes a detailed breakdown of data required to meet HM Treasury guidelines on sustainability reporting.
The performance takes into account the size of HMRC’s estate and the number of people employed. At the end of March 2014, HMRC’s estate included 363 offices and 37 non-office properties at 284 locations across the UK. The VOA had a presence at 70 locations. HMRC employed 63,061 (full time equivalents (FTE)). The VOA’s workforce totalled 3,511 (FTE).
