This document is a register of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) jobcentres.

It has been created as part of the Government Transformation Strategy to build a national data infrastructure of registers (authoritative lists that are held once across government).

Apply for Universal Credit

For Universal Credit you should claim online or by phone through the service centre in the first instance. You do not need to go into a jobcentre to apply. Universal Credit and you explains this.

You may be asked to attend an interview at a jobcentre after making your claim online or through the service centre.
