Non-Domestic Rating (Nursery Grounds) Bill: Commons second reading

MPs debated the second reading of the Non-Domestic Rating (Nursery Grounds) Bill in the House of Commons on Tuesday 5 June 2018.

 

Second reading

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Rishi Sunak, opened the debate. Shadow Devolution Minister Jim McMahon responded on behalf of the Opposition.

The bill passed second reading without a division.

The Non-Domestic Rating (Nursery Grounds) Bill 2017-19

Summary of the Bill

The purpose of the bill is to provide that buildings which are, or form part of, a nursery ground are exempt from non-domestic rates if they are used solely in connection with agricultural operations at the nursery ground.
