Details

These monthly experimental statistics include the total number of people who are on Universal Credit to 13 September 2018.

The statistics are broken down by:

  • Jobcentre Plus office
  • age
  • employment status
  • conditionality regime

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will continue to publish statistics on people on Universal Credit every month, but this will not include the data on starts and claims to Universal Credit. This data will only be published quarterly and will also include statistics on households on Universal Credit.

DWP is currently investigating a discrepancy with the data on duration on Universal Credit. While we assess the scale of this issue we have removed this breakdown from Stat-Xplore. Caution should be used when viewing this breakdown via other mechanisms (such as supplementary tables).
