This publication provides an update of the number of cases estimated to be affected by underpayments of ESA on conversion from other incapacity benefits, and the forecast costs of repaying these cases, that the Department for Work and Pensions has prepared in anticipation of Autumn Budget 2019.
It also presents an update, from the department’s management information, of the progress on checking potentially affected cases as at 13 October 2019.
