The Elections Act 2022 removes the 15 year limit on British citizens living overseas registering to vote in UK Parliamentary General Elections.
This letter from the Secretary of State to the Association of Electoral Administrators outlines the progress being made to implement these changes and to deliver ‘votes for life’ for all British citizens previously registered or resident in the UK.
