From 1 December 2014 the Insolvency Service will change the way the Official Receiver closes a case following his/her completion of the case administration. The Official Receiver will no longer be applying for release as trustee or liquidator. The closing notice letter including the notice of release and account summary will no longer be sent (NORAD/ACCSUM). We will also no longer send the TRLTB to bankrupt stating we are applying for our release. This is in line with our commitment to simplify our processes as mentioned in the Insolvency Service annual plan 2014 to 2015 and is a result of feedback from our stakeholders. They are primarily aimed at debtors who are, or may become, subject to restrictions.
