VOA plans to handle the Checks on large food superstores submitted before the 2017 Rating List closed on 31 March 2023
LAs who are signed up to our information sharing agreements will be already aware that at the end of the 2017 Rating List we received a significant number of Checks for large food superstores. These were from a single agent. As many of these assessments represent high RVs in your 2017 local lists, we wanted to let you know our plans to prioritise the cases for review. This means we will be discussing the values applied to assessments across the country with the agent over the next 12 months.
Where values can be agreed, a Challenge will follow and the agreed values will be applied to the Compiled List and to any subsequent changes made in the 2017 Rating List for that assessment. Following the completion of the exercise we will then be in a position to consider any material change of circumstance Challenges received.
Where the team receive advance notice of significant or multiple changes to a 2017 Superstore assessment, we will endeavour to provide as much notice of the change/s as possible.
