Fairness in government debt management: a call for evidence - Summary of responses.
The Government Debt Management Function functional centre has now moved from the Cabinet Office to HM Treasury. The Fairness in Debt Management Call for Evidence was previously carried out by the GDMF functional centre under Cabinet Office. Any further work will be taken forward by the GDMF functional centre in HM Treasury.
The government is seeking evidence on how debt management practices can be improved and most effectively manage debts stemming from fraudulent activity.
This call for evidence ran from
10am on 29 June 2020 to 11pm on 21 September 2020
Government welcomes evidence from the debt advice sector, private and public sector creditors, debt collection agencies, the voluntary sector and wider society, as well as from members of the public who wish to contribute.
