A monthly count of lone parents receiving Jobseeker's Allowance in Great Britain from April 2005 to December 2014.

This statistical data set provides a monthly count of lone parent Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) claimants in Great Britain between April 2005 to December 2014.
These monthly claimant count figures are broken down by:
- age of youngest child
- gender
- age
- ethnic group
- region
The main points from the latest release are:
- there were 84,515 JSA lone parent claimants at December 2014, a decrease of 37,295 (31%) from December 2013
- in December 2014, 75,525 (89%) JSA lone parents were female and 8,990 (11%) were male
- where their ethnicity was known, 77% of JSA lone parents were white in December 2014
Ethnicity data isn’t available for November 2014 due to a processing error issue. We are working to resolve the issue and further updates will be provided here when available.
